If you’re in Boulder for the weekend, Bacaro is a good place to hang out for brunch. They have bottomless mimosas (& they’re really yummy!), a do-it-yourself bloody mary bar (I never thought I liked these, but daaaang was this good!), & yummy, homemade food. I’d say that’s a win!
Are you a fan of the bloody mary? I don’t like horseradish, so that’s a bit of a problem, but I think that’s one of the reasons I liked this place: you could really control how much horseradish you put in your drink. The spices, like Old Bay & others, were a delicious touch, too. (If you don’t want to do it yourself, they’re more than happy to mix you up a traditional one, FYI.)
The pasta was homemade here, which should have made it better tasting than it was. The pasta was too soft, in my opinion, & somehow the description of the flavors on the pasta made it seem like it had a better homemade tomato sauce on top, instead of just cheese & butter & whatever else they put on top. I wasn’t a fan of this dish although it was decent enough to eat. (& got better the more mimosa they brought… )
The pizza on the other hand was absolutely FANTASTIC. Seriously. I was so impressed & would recommend this & eat this again in a heartbeat. (Minus the egg though, which we took off & ate on the side.)
Overall, I was happy with brunch here, although there were some other options I would have been more excited to try if the lines hadn’t been over an hour long. Ugh, right? Eat here if you want a classy breakfast with some pretty good options & drinks.
The atmosphere was pretty nice – we sat on the upstairs covered patio & enjoyed the sunshine.
